About Us
Liminal Partners was founded in 2022 by Kevin McGovern, MA, as a pioneering High Performance Culture Development Company.
Our mission is to empower organizations, leaders and teams to reach their full potential through customized and effective performance and development solutions. We believe in the power of developing cultures of growth, collaboration, accountability and impact, and strive to create lasting change through dynamic coaching, facilitation and consultancy services. Our ultimate mission is to Inspire Trust, Accelerate Development, Deliver Results for our clients and the communities they serve.
The word liminal is derived from the Latin "limen," meaning "threshold." Thus a liminal space describes an intermediate state, phase, or condition marked by ambiguity and the potential for transformation.
For organizations, it captures the moment when traditional practices and behaviors begin to wane in effectiveness, yet new approaches and solutions are not fully realized, presenting a unique window for creativity and growth, or for stagnation and resistance.
When well managed, these transitions can be leveraged to reshape behaviors and practices in alignment with strategic needs and objectives. This is where Liminal Partners expertise as consultants, coaches and facilitators comes in.
Liminal Defined
Our Values
By embodying these guiding principles and values, Liminal Partners is committed to creating a positive and transformative experience for our team and our clients. We champion an inside-out approach to change, leading with our own internal growth to empower and inspire those around us. This philosophy ensures we foster environments rich in trust, growth, innovation, accountability, and wellbeing , where both our team and our clients can thrive.
-
Building trust with partners and within the team is essential for effective leadership coaching and organizational development. Recognizing that trust is built on not just performance but on the willingness to be vulnerable, to voice dissenting opinions, and to engage in open dialogue around differing ideas and perspectives. Our culture champions vulnerability as the pathway to trust, enabling us to embrace productive conflict as a source of innovation and collaboration.
-
Embracing a culture of adaptive experimentation, we encourage our team to take calculated risks. This openness to experimentation is crucial for driving adaptation and progress, both within our organization and in partnership with our clients.
-
Commitment to the continuous personal and professional development of our team members and clients. This commitment to learning and growth is a fundamental principle that guides our work, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation and excellence in our field.
-
Creating environments where open discussions about our observations, challenges, and successes are encouraged, as a means to holding one another accountable to our commitments. This culture of empowering accountability ensures that we not only uphold the highest standards for ourselves and our clients but also cultivate a space where growth, learning, and excellence are continuously pursued together.
-
Championing the importance of balancing professional dedication with personal well-being, recognizing that fulfillment outside of work fuels our passion and creativity within. We cultivate an environment where fun and play are woven into the fabric of our work culture, believing that moments of joy and levity are not just beneficial but essential. This approach ensures that our team lives full, vibrant lives, bringing their best selves to our clients and each other.
